 We take early flight to Paro from Kathmandu. Half day sightseeing in Paro, situated at an altitude of 2300m above sea level. Fruits like strawberry, apples, pears, plums and peaches are available here. After lunch, we visit  Ta – Dzong and Rimpong dzong. Rimpong dzong is famous for the painting of the great saint – Milarelpa.

After breakfast, hike to Taktsang Monastery . The trail is broad and the uphill walk takes you to the height of 1000ft above the Paro valley. We will view the Taktsang monastery built on the cliff. There are 13 sacred sites at the monastery, and several meditation caves in the cliffs above. Not only Guru Rinpoche but also Milarepa and the female yogin Machig Labdronma had meditated here. In the afternoon drive to Drukgyel Dzong which was once a historic monument built as a symbol of victory for the Bhutanese against the northern invaders. Along the way, we will also see the 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the 108 temples constructed by the Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo.

Early in the morning after breakfast, we drive to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. It takes about 2 hours drive to reach Thimphu from Paro. On the way, we will catch the panoramic view of the majestic mountains, hills and the rivers. We will visit the school for arts and crafts where the children were taught to learn the arts and crafts of Bhutan. The national library is another sight to see the collection of Bhutanese scriptures some even dating back from the 8th century. We also visit some chortens which depict the Buddhist faith in form of paintings and statues. Similarly, we will also visit Changangkha temple which was built in the 12th century by Lam Phajo Drukgom Shingpo. Not only this, we also visit Drubthob monastery which houses the Zilukha nunnery. We could also visit Tashichoe Dzong  which is open to tourists only after 5pm in summer and 4pm in winter. In the late afternoon, we will also view the Old Dechencholing Palace where the present King of Bhutan was born in the year 1955.

 After having breakfast, we drive over the 10,000ft Dochu La pass into the balmy Punakha valley. In the Dochhu la area there are vast Rhododendron forests blooming in late April or early May. We slowly descend into the green Wangdiphodrang Valley from the height of the pass, with its sweeping view of the snow peaks in clear weather and finally reach Wangdiphodrang dzong which is perched on a spur at the confluence of two rivers. Then we drive over a high pass down into the Phobjikha valley, one of Bhutan\\\'s few glacial valleys which is a home of black necked cranes, migrating from the Tibetan plateau. In the late afternoon, we also pay our visit to Gangtey Monastery. Overnight in a hotel.

We drive to Bumthang across Pele la passes. We also visit Chendebji Chorten erected in the 18th century. After lunch, we visit Trongsa Dzong and then proceed to Bumthang. Bumthang is associated with Guru Rinpoche and with Terton Pemalingpa .The major attractions of the valley are Jaker Dzong, Kurjey Lhakhang and Jambay Lhakhang. In the late afternoon, we go to a hotel.

Today we proceed to Mongar. The drive to Mongar takes about 6 hours, with spectacular view en route. We will drive up into the hills above the valley and then past Ura village, before climbing sharply to the highest point on Bhutan\\\'s motorable road network, Thrumsing -la pass.The road gradually descends to the alpine valley of Sengor and stops at 700m/2,300ft, where we cross the Kuri chu (river). Before, we ascend, we take our lunch and move ahead through pine forests, maize fields and eastern hamlets to reach Mongar town. The Mongar Dzong will be visited which was built in the 1930s.

 We take early drive to Tashigang from Mongar. It is about 96km far from Mongar with a normal drive of 3 hours. After driving through the Kori-la pass dominated by chorten and mani wall, we descend through corn field and banana groves to reach the road zigzag just below Yadi. After lunch, we will visit Tashigang Dzong, standing at the extreme end of a rocky outcrop far above the river gorge. Overnight in the lodge.

 After taking breakfast, we proceed to visit the temple of Gom Kora, which is situated at about 24km from Tashigang. Then, we continue on down the road to Doksum village, where we can find women weaving traditional Bhutanese fabric, and a chain-link swing bridge dating back to the 15th century. We also visit Tashiyangtse.
If time permits, we will also visit the dazzling white stupa of Chorten Kora on the riverbank below the town. In the evening we return to Tashigang. Dinner and overnight in a lodge.

After breakfast, we will drive back to Mongar. On the way back to Mongar, we   turnoff on the left and lead up to Drametse Temple which is perched on top of a steep hill above the village. It is regarded as the most important monastery of eastern Bhutan. After visiting the monastery, we will continue our drive to Monger. Dinner and overnight in a lodge.

We take our early drive to Bumthang to view wild life as well as to see the Himalayan ranges from the passes. We will ease and rest at Ura and spend sometime in and around Ura valley. Then we go to Bumthang in the late afternoon. Overnight in a hotel.

Today, after breakfast, we drive to Punakha crossing Kiki la pass & Yo-tong la pass. After a break in Trongsa, we continue our drive to Punakha and stop at Chendeji Chorten for lunch. After lunch, we drive across Pele la pass and overnight in a hotel.

Today we visit Punakha Dzong before leaving for Thimphu. Punakha, is the ancient capital of Bhutan. It is situated at the confluence of the Mo Chu and Pho chu rivers. It is also the winter headquarters of the Je Khenpo. The Dzong was build by Shabdrung in 1637. After completing the sightseeing in Punakha, we drive to Thimphu and overnight in a hotel at Lobesa.

Full day sightseeing in Thimphu. We will visit weekend market, Painting School, National Institute of Traditional Medicine, National Memorial Chorten, Folk Heritage and National Textile Museums and Handicrafts Emporium. In the late afternoon, we drive back to Paro and overnight in a hotel.
